Dan Holmes has been practicing real estate law for over forty years. Since forming Lerner & Holmes PC with Joel Lerner in 1995, he has served as a legal advisor to real estate owners and investors, lenders, developers and corporate users, specializing in transactions involving tax exempt investors. Prior to forming Lerner & Holmes PC, Dan worked for a decade as the Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of the Boston Company Real Estate Counsel, Inc. In that role, he directed the activities of staff members and outside attorneys in overseeing a nationwide portfolio of office, retail, industrial and residential properties. He negotiated and closed new debt and equity investments valued at over $1 billion, led the firm’s activities in obtaining and refinancing third-party debt, and managed restructurings involving borrowers, partners and tenants. Before joining The Boston Company Real Estate Counsel, Dan practiced law at Hale & Dorr in Boston.

Jennifer brings a practical, business-focused approach to commercial real estate, corporate, and municipal matters, drawing on over fifteen years of experience working with individuals, businesses, and government officials throughout New England in various capacities. Before joining the firm, Jennifer served as in-house counsel at a regional financial institution. Jennifer previously practiced in the Commercial Department at Bacon Wilson, P.C., where she handled a broad range of commercial real estate and corporate matters. Jennifer additionally brings a unique perspective with over a decade of experience serving in legal and regulatory roles with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Active in her community, Jennifer currently serves as Chair of the Belchertown Zoning Board of Appeals.
